Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told his U.S. counterpart Antony Blinken on Monday that a ceasefire needed to be declared urgently in Gaza, Reuters reported citing a foreign ministry source.
Following Fidan's talks with Blinken in Ankara, the source said Fidan had also told the U.S. secretary of state that Israel had to be prevented from targeting civilians and displacing people in Gaza.
