As the deadly Israel-Palestine conflict in Gaza drags on to its one-month mark, calls for ceasefire from the international community have been mounting. Iran is accusing the U.S. of "encouraging" Israel to kill and carry out "cruel acts" against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Wang Jin, an associate professor and specialist in Middle Eastern studies at the Northwest University, says the U.S. should take on more responsibilities in the conflict as it's the most important third party in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
