Jiatang Grassland hosts large stretches of wetlands and alpine meadows. Every summer, it's an amusement park for the animals. The summer pasture is also a temporary abode for the herdsmen and also provides a joyful atmosphere for the kids. And furthermore, it also makes the kids joyfully exposed to nature. One can witness the unbelievable moments when mountain weasels play hide and seek with herdsmen's daughters.

Early in the morning, a group of young people in Tibetan costumes assemble at the entrance of Ganda Village. They saddle up and set off in lines galloping on the grassland. This dashing squad is Ganda's environmental protection team who call themselves the "Ecological Caravan."

With an average elevation of 4,100 meters, Jianzuo Village is located near the headwaters of the Lancang River. The serene place hosts a picturesque landscape. Little known to outsiders, this xanadu is the first community on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau to produce "zero waste."

The monk who meditates and chants is Jiangyang Xiran. He's the abbot of a nearby temple, or "khenpo" in Tibetan Buddhism. Unlike other monks, he's accompanied by a little blue sheep.
