How does digitization empower arts, make 600-year-old Fahai Temple murals thrive again?

 , Updated 22:48, 09-Nov-2023

The Fahai Temple in Beijing's Shijingshan District was built in 1439 during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). The frescoes in the temple are known as one of the best Chinese murals. Through advanced technology, such as 3D modeling, 4K displays and a dome theater, the Fahai Temple Mural Art Center offers visitors an immersive interactive digital experience. The center also holds free workshops where people can learn to make three-dimensional frescoes, volunteer as an English tour guide and listen to Chinese art and culture lectures.
