Zhejiang has distinctly positioned itself as a modern, future-thinking, albeit culture-rich Chinese province through its booth at the China International Import Expo currently underway in Shanghai. Themed "Smart Zhejiang," the booth showcases the heritage of the area's Jiangnan water towns. Through displays of traditional arts and crafts – for example, weaving and puppetry – amid modern lighting and fixtures, visitors have been able to sense and experience the province's multiple forms of intangible cultural heritage.
