China opposes and condemns acts that harm civilians and violate international humanitarian law, Zhai Jun, a special envoy of the Chinese government on the Middle East issue, said at an international humanitarian conference on aid to Gaza civilians in Paris, France on November 9.

Zhai attended the conference at the invitation of the French side. The conference gathered heads of state and government as well as officials from international and regional organizations.
