The scent of citrus is everywhere! Navel oranges in Daoxian County, Hunan Province recently ripened, and hundreds of farmers are busy harvesting the fruit. The bumper harvest has attracted numerous buyers and e-commerce vendors to pick and sell.
In recent years, Daoxian County has made much progress in the development of the navel orange industry and has greatly increased farmers' income. Orchards across the county have a combined yield of 145,000 tonnes, and have a production value exceeding 1 billion yuan (US$137 million).
