During a panel co-produced by CGTN and The Bridge Tank, Stéphane Gompertz, board member at the Bridge Tank and retired French ambassador, said that when the Russia-Ukraine conflict subsides, things will be different as Europe needs Russia. He stressed that the trend points towards a significant role for emerging nations in global affairs. With friendly and peaceful relations, he said, this role can prove useful.
