Along the banks of the Tarim River, a vast forest of desert poplar trees has recently turned golden colors, creating picturesque scenery in Shaya County of Aksu Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The large areas of natural desert poplar forest are well preserved here, with many tourists and photographers coming to the area and nearby villages for sightseeing and to experience local cultures.
