French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview with the BBC that there was no justification for bombing Gaza civilians and that a ceasefire would benefit Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has responded by suggesting world leaders condemn Hamas rather than Israel. On Saturday, pro-Palestinian demonstrations were held across France, in cities such as Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Bordeaux.
