Three infants and five patients in intensive care at the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza died due to lack of oxygen, Palestine's WAFA news agency reported on Sunday, citing medical sources.
Also, the cardiac ward of Al-Shifa hospital, the biggest hospital in Gaza, was destroyed during an Israeli air strike, according to AFP news agency.
"The occupier (Israel) completely destroyed the cardiac department of Al-Shifa hospital. The two-storey building has been completely destroyed in an air strike," Youssef Abu Rish, deputy health minister in the Hamas-run Gaza Strip told AFP on Sunday.
There's no immediate response from Israel yet on the claims.
