Cambodia celebrates its 70th Independence Day this year, as well as the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties with China. Rinith Taing, Deputy Editor at Khmer Times, told CGTN that the Belt and Road Initiative has greatly facilitated infrastructure construction in Cambodia. The BRI has helped Cambodia better deal with poverty-related issues and move faster toward its goal of becoming a high-income country by 2050.
