Dulata land port offers alternative route in booming China-Kazakhstan ties

01:55

The Dulata Port in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, bordering Kazakhstan, officially opened in 2006. It is less well known than the nearby Horgos Port, but people there proudly look forward to its growth. A new international bus terminal opened in August, and a new visa waiver between China and Kazakhstan is expected to attract more Kazakh tourists and also trade to come through the port.
