Can classical musicians trained in the United States become immersed in the eco-landscape of music across the Pacific in China? And how do their experiences of the two countries and cultures shape their musical expression?

Shawn Moore, a violinist originally from Chicago, may have the answer. Having lived in China for a decade, he has performed in many different concert settings alongside big names like Tan Dun. When he is not performing on the stage, he promotes exchanges between the two countries through education. In this candid video, Shawn shares his China journey and discusses how it has impacted his music and life.
