An event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the U.S. 14th Air Force's participation in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression was held at a museum in Beijing on October 30.
Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation Chairman Jeffrey Greene and Flying Tigers veterans Harry Moyer and Mel McMullen wrote a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping. As Moyer and McMullen are the last two living Flying Tigers veterans physically able to return to China, they were determined to participate in this event to represent thousands of young American airmen who fought alongside the Chinese people.
