From archaeological discoveries to scientific research, from ancient relics to cultural artifacts, the exhibition at the Nanjing Museum aims to present a vivid image of its long history and creative evolution. Built in 1933 as one of the largest museums in China, the museum is home to over 400,000 cultural relics. In particular, imperial porcelain from the Ming and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties make it one of the most notable museums of its kind in the world.

During the past nine decades, the Nanjing Museum has maintained its efforts to preserve and research cultural relics and promote education relating to Chinese history and culture.
