The death toll has risen to 25 after a fire broke out at a building of a coal mine company in north China's Shanxi Province on Thursday morning, China Media Group reported.
The blaze has been brought under control and rescue efforts are underway. The injured has been taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
The fire erupted at 6:50 a.m. and ripped through the building located in Lishi District of Lyuliang City.
The building belongs to the Yongju coal mine company.
