Finnish President Sauli Niinisto decided on Friday to send more defense material to assist Ukraine, the Finnish government announced in a statement.

It will be Finland's 20th package of defense material to Ukraine, bringing the total compensation value of the country's defense material packages to 1.5 billion euros, the statement added.

The Dutch government also earmarked an additional 2 billion euros in military aid for Ukraine in 2024, in what Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren on Friday said was a sign of unwavering support for Kyiv.

The latest package takes the total amount of Dutch support for Ukraine during the conflict to around 7.5 billion euros, Ollongren said.
