Chinese medicine is rooted in traditional Chinese culture, and could even pose a challenge for modern-day Chinese students to learn. However, Hannah Tiang Shi, an international student from Malaysia, completed her bachelor's degree in TCM in China and was later awarded a scholarship to take up a postgraduate research position at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
Hannah told us that she decided to learn TCM during high school after her father received some treatment and gained positive results. So, what are her experiences of studying TCM as an international student – and has studying TCM influenced her outlook on life?
