The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting is taking place in San Francisco from November 15 to 17. The meeting provides business leaders in the Asia-Pacific region with an opportunity to engage in discussions with APEC economic leaders and policy makers on regional issues. This year's conference theme is "Creating a Resilient and Sustainable Future for All," focusing on the keywords of interconnectedness, innovation and inclusivity.

In this video, Carlos Carrasco, associate professor of economics at the UDEM Business School at the University of Monterrey in Mexico, talks about the issues that should be on the agenda at this year's APEC meeting and how the Asia-Pacific region can further strengthen cooperation. Carlos says the meeting is an opportunity to improve relations among Asia-Pacific countries and reduce some of the geopolitical tensions.
