People of the Miao ethnic group wearing traditional colorful costumes are celebrating the Miao New Year and Guzang Festival in Leishan County of southwest China's Guizhou Province. The Miao New Year is the year's most solemn traditional festival for Miao people, similar to Spring Festival of the Han people. Guzang Festival celebrated every 13 years is the most important festival for the Miao people to offer sacrifices to their ancestors. This year's Miao New Year and Guzang Festival fall on the same day, and bring a grand cultural feast lasting for over a month, such as parade, Lusheng dance and long-table banquet for a thousand people.
