Two mountain lion cubs were orphaned after their mother was struck dead by a car in California on November 9, 2023. They have now been rescued by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and transported to the Oakland Zoo. Over the weekend, residents reported seeing the two cubs in the vicinity. Both of these mountain lion cubs are female and are estimated to be between 6 to 10 weeks old. They were found safe in a resident's backyard.
