Italian trade unions mobilized tens of thousands of people on Friday for a national day of strike action against the government's 2024 budget. UIL and CGIL, two of Italy's main national labor unions, have criticized the draft budget for threatening the well-being of workers and for proposing measures that would limit their right to strike to address grievances.
