A trip to China at the president’s invitation

President Xi Jinping received a gift from the students of Lincoln High School in Washington State during his recent visit to the U.S. city of San Francisco for the APEC meeting. The gift of a beautiful painting was a token of the friendship between the school and the president, which dated back to a visit he paid there in 1993 and which was cemented by a second visit in 2015. A year later, in 2016, 118 students and faculty members from Lincoln High School traveled to China at the invitation of Chinese president Xi Jinping. For the students, the trip, which included tours of Fuzhou, Chengdu and other parts of China was a dream come true.
