Shuangyumen Bridge, the sea bridge with the longest span in China, has entered the construction phase of its main tower off the coast on November 19. The bridge connects two independent islands in the city of Zhoushan and has a main span of 18.78 kilometers. Construction work on the project is expected to be completed in 2027. The bridge is expected to improve external traffic conditions on the southern islands of Zhoushan.
