Residents of Rocinha, one of Brazil's largest favelas, are enduring the country's ongoing heat wave without electricity. Construction workers are trying to manage the unusually high temperatures by staying hydrated and taking showers with a hose whenever possible.
To save money, many residents are trekking to a concealed water source at the top of the favela to access fresh water.
