The third release of Japan's nuclear-contaminated wastewater from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant ended today, Japan's media organization NHK reported on Monday.
This batch began on November 2, and the total released wastewater is about 7,800 tonnes. More than 23,000 tonnes were dumped into the sea since the first release. The fourth round of discharge is expected to begin early next year.
