Power plant's waste steam keeps residents warm in N China

As winter approaches, heating supply has started across northern China. Many places have turned to new ways to supply heat and reduce emissions to ensure better air quality. The city of Taiyuan in Shanxi Province brings in hot water for heating warmed with the waste steam from a power plant in another city. And that relies on four giant pipes that stretch nearly 40 kilometers between the two cities.
