China's large-thrust rocket engine test shortened to two days

00:07

China will be able to make more of its large-thrust rockets and at a faster pace because now it only takes two days to test the engines used in its liquid oxygen-kerosene rockets. The Sixth Academy of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) announced on Tuesday that the time for the test – accounting for the time the engine was placed on the test stand to ignition – has been reduced from three days. The announcement was made after the latest test in Xi'an City, northwest China's Shaanxi Province.
