Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday that deepening bilateral ties has increasingly become the common consensus of the two countries when holding talks with visiting Uruguayan President Luis Alberto Lacalle Pou in Beijing on Wednesday. 

"I am willing to work with you to continuously push forward the friendly relations between the two countries and build China-Uruguay relations into a model of solidarity and cooperation between countries of different sizes, systems and cultures," said Xi.
