Croatia's Plitvice Lakes National Park and China's Jiuzhaigou are two pearls of Eurasia. Similar to Jiuzhaigou, the Plitvice Lakes National Park is famous for its many connected lakes, magnificent waterfalls and a variety of wildlife. They are natural "twin miracles" linking the "green Silk Road." Beijing Foreign Studies University students visited the Plitvice Lakes National Park to talk with biologist Sanja Zalac about the cooperation between China and Croatia on geological conservation in recent years. Zalac said Jiuzhaigou and Plitvice Lakes National Park face the same geological problems: they need to protect karst landforms and learn from each other's experience in geological restoration and protection.
