The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday that China is trialling visa-free travel for citizens from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Malaysia from December 1 in 2023 to November 30, 2024.
Visa-free entry to China will be available for citizens of these countries with ordinary passports traveling for business, sightseeing, visiting relatives and friends, and in transit for up to 15 days, the ministry's spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular press briefing in Beijing.
Mao noted that it was aimed to facilitate personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries to serve high-quality development and high-level opening-up.
