A knife attack left five individuals injured, including three young children on Thursday, in Dublin, Ireland. The incident triggered riots in the city center. Protesters fired flares and fireworks at the police cordon around the scene of the incident. A tram and some cars were set on fire, and a number of police vehicles were damaged during the disturbance.
Authorities are currently exploring various motives, including the possibility of it being terror-related. A five-year-old girl was receiving emergency treatment after sustaining serious injuries in the stabbing. A man in his 40s who was also seriously injured is a person of interest, police said.
