Cheng Yajuan and her husband run a noodle restaurant near a labor market in the northeastern city of Shenyang. It's been their policy for a number of years to offer free noodles to anyone in financial difficulties. In the 21 years that her restaurant has been in business, Cheng has given away more than 6,000 bowls of noodles. As a way of supporting what's popularly known as "The Restaurant of Love", many of her regular customers make a point of paying extra for their own meal.
