The series "Xizang Rhapsody" takes as its focus young people in Xizang who, by following their passions, are breaking stereotypes of life on the Roof of the World. They are Tashi Tsering, who is behind the publication of Tibetan-language versions of world-famous children's story books; the members of Xizang's first street dance crew "Wootsang Dance Crew"; Tsomo, Xizang's first international coffee grader and the founder of a highland coffee lab; electronic music pioneer Thubten Tenzin Chosphel; modern dancer Sonam Droma; and the region’s first group of skateboarders. All of them, through their personal stories and perspectives, highlight the collision and harmony between tradition and modernity, and reveal how Tibetan society is developing to embrace greater cultural diversity.
