Law enforcement authorities from China, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand completed the 135th Mekong River joint patrol on November 24. With seven vessels and 176 law enforcement officers from the four countries, the joint river patrol and land investigation covered more than 600 kilometers of waterway and lasted four days and three nights. During the patrol, the Chinese authorities also dispatched a medical team to provide free clinical treatment in Muangmo, Laos. This collaborative effort in river patrols began in December 2011 among the four nations.
