Nearly a hundred dead, 2 million Somalis in need as flooding wreaks havoc

According to the head of the Somali National Disaster Management Authority, the death toll in Somalia due to heavy rains and flooding has risen to 96, with approximately 700,000 people displaced and 2 million affected. Shashwat Saraf, the director of East Africa Emergency at the International Rescue Committee, mentioned that 1.5 million hectares of land in Somalia have been inundated by the rains.
