Multiple members of the Chinese national table tennis team, including world champions Sun Yingsha and Lin Gaoyuan, came to Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province, on Saturday and played a series of friendly matches with the locals.

In less than 10 days, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Mixed Team World Cup will take place in Chengdu from December 4 to 10. The tournament will be presented in a new form that includes the men's and the women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions.

Sun, Wang Manyu, Chen Meng and Wang Yidi will be in the women's team on behalf of China at the World Cup. Lin, Fan Zhendong, Wang Chuqin and Ma Long make the men's team.

"There is a challenge for us since it's the first edition of Mixed Team World Cup," Sun told reporters. "But I believe in the team's strength."

"I've got no other goal than winning the title," Lin said.
