The 2023 Tongzhou Global Development Forum held recently in Beijing and themed "Working Together for Global Development and a Common Future" drew policymakers, representatives of international agencies and academics from China and abroad. They mulled over the current challenges hindering global development and proposed new solutions and approaches. Wang Guan sat down with former Prime Minister of Romania Adrian Nastase to ask his opinions about the APEC Leaders' Summit as well as China's proposals to promote global development. Nastase noted the necessity of building an international consensus to promote development and strengthen the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to create a favorable international environment.
