If you haven't heard of Francesco Camarda yet, it's high time you paid attention. This top-drawer youngster from AC Milan has just etched his name in the Serie A history books. During AC Milan's 1-0 triumph over Fiorentina on Saturday night, Camarda made his mark as the youngest player ever to grace the Italian top flight.

At a tender age of just 15 years and 260 days, Camarda surpasses the previous record set by Wisdom Amey, who represented Bologna at the age of 15 years and 274 days in 2021.

With AC Milan holding a 1-0 lead, thanks to a goal from left-back Theo Hernandez, Camarda, donning the number 73 jersey, made his entrance in the 84th minute, taking the place of Serbian striker Luka Jovic at the iconic San Siro stadium.

This incredible achievement also eclipsed the longstanding record held by Paolo Maldini as AC Milan's youngest-ever debutant. Maldini, an iconic figure in Italian football, made his first appearance for the club in 1985 at the age of 16.

As of now, Camarda has not signed a professional contract with Milan. However, his impressive track record speaks for itself. At youth level for the renowned Italian club, Camarda has already managed to find the back of the net seven times in 13 games.

Italian media outlets have also reported that when considering his performances in 5-a-side, 7-a-side, and 8-a-side matches, Camarda has amassed an astounding tally of approximately 400 goals. Such statistics only further highlight the exceptional talent and scoring prowess possessed by this wunderkind.

Camarda's inclusion in the senior team was a result of Milan coach Stefano Pioli's decision, prompted by Olivier Giroud's two-match suspension following his red card against Lecce. Furthermore, Noah Okafor's injury during the international break left Milan with limited attacking options for Saturday's game. Although Camarda had limited time on the pitch against Fiorentina, it was enough to contribute to Milan's victory, as they secured their eighth win of the season.

Camarda's roots in Milan run deep, as he was born in the city and has the club's DNA flowing through him. In a recent interview with the club's official channel, he revealed his childhood idol: the iconic Brazilian striker Ronaldo, who played for the Rossoneri. Camarda's admiration for Ronaldo, fondly known as "the Phenomenon," stems not only from his own appreciation but also from his father's fandom. Watching videos of Ronaldo's breathtaking play and fluid movements serves as a source of inspiration for the young talent.

In addition to his passion for football, Camarda developed an interest in kickboxing during his formative years. This combination of muscular power and swift agility could make him a potent firearm in Milan's attacking arsenal.

"Talent has no age. He is very young but from a character point of view he is already mature," said Pioli over the weekend. It is evident that Camarda possesses the necessary qualities to thrive on a bigger stage and captivate a wider audience.

The time has come for Camarda to shine and demonstrate his talent to the world.
