Five people are believed to have died as a result of massive flooding in Northern Samar province in the central Philippines, local newspaper Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on Monday, citing Josh Echano, the head of the Northern Samar Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council's report on Monday, more than 1.13 million people have been affected by heavy rains and massive flooding.
