Qatar announced on Monday that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement to extend the humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip for an additional two days. This extension was announced just hours before the initial four-day truce was set to expire on November 28.
Thirty-three Palestinians held in Israeli prisons were freed on Tuesday and transported to the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah. Before that, 11 Israeli civilian hostages were released from Hamas captivity in the Gaza Strip on Monday night.
