The main line of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is now fully complete. It's considered one of the world's most complex cross-sea cluster projects in terms of construction difficulty, integrating bridges, islands, tunnels and underwater interchanges.
The 24-kilometer project connects the city of Shenzhen, located on the eastern Pearl River Delta, with Zhongshan in the west. It's expected to be operational by around next June, cutting the travel time between the two cities from two hours to just half an hour.
