The picturesque coastal landscapes of Rongcheng in Shandong Province are currently embracing the "planting" season in this seaweed cultivating region. A large part of the coastal area of the city is alive with seaweed seedlings. Covering an area of around 150,000 mu (10,000 hectares), the sea farm yields over 400,000 tons of seaweed annually.
