The main line of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is now fully complete. An all-round intelligent emergency system is being built for it, with a view to making quick response to accidents and offering timely rescue. The tunnel is equipped with 83 escape doors and a large number of sensors to offer maximum protection for travelers. In addition, the emergency rescue piers on the east and west artificial islands will come in handy in case of extreme traffic tie-up on the passage. The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is scheduled to open to traffic in 2024.
