China's rural sports industry has been booming, gaining worldwide attention. From football and basketball to volleyball, sports events organized by local villagers feature fierce competition and enthusiastic fans. Representatives of the English Premier League visited Rongjiang County, southwest China's Guizhou Province, where the Village Super League was held. The two-day visit, from November 26 to 27, aimed to promote cooperation between the English Premier League and the Village Super League.

Eakvixay Tran from Laos is an economics student at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Tran says China's rural sports not only promote local tourism but also encourage people to participate in sports and become healthier. He shares information about cow fighting, a rural sport in Laos. Similar to the Village Super League in Guizhou, the prizes for cow fighting winners are local food and wine.
