The Chinese crocodile lizard is an ancient reptile that can only be found in south China's Guangdong Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Once crawling beside dinosaurs, it is recognized by some as a "living fossil." The lizard has ridged scales resembling those of crocodiles, for which it gets its name. During CGTN Nature's journey in Guangdong's Maoming City, the film crew captured the moment of a Chinese crocodile lizard preying on an earthworm.
