Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan nominated his lawyer Gohar Khan in the election for chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday, local media reported, citing the PTI party.
Imran Khan has decided against retaining the top post of PTI due to legal hurdles as the party heads toward internal polls, the report said.
The ex-PM remains behind bars in Rawalpindi's Adiala jail and is entangled in legal battles.
