UNRWA calls for extension of temporary cease-fire for humanitarian aid

Juliette Touma, director of communications of United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), said that the temporary ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel has allowed the scale of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip to increase, but still cannot resolve the humanitarian crisis in the area. She called on both sides to continue to extend the cease-fire and expand humanitarian operations.
