China's energy storage battery shipments in the first three quarters of this year totaled 157.2 gigawatt hours (GWh), accounting for more than 90 percent of the global shipments.
Still, new technologies such as sodium-ion and flow batteries have seen rapid progress, which are expected to further the industry's development.
